Nothing But Thieves Confirms Massive Manchester Co-op Live Concert for 2027 Tour

Nothing But Thieves Confirms Massive Manchester Co-op Live Concert for 2027 Tour

Alt-rock giants Nothing But Thieves have confirmed a massive Manchester homecoming performance as they prepare to bring their newly recorded, raw sonic direction to the UK’s biggest indoor arena.

Nothing But Thieves will play Co-op Live in Manchester on 12 February 2027, marking a major milestone for the global headline act following their return to the studio environment where their career first began.

The band chose to record their fifth album at Angelic Studios in Banbury, the exact location of their self-titled debut over a decade ago.

Reflecting on the return, guitarist Dominic Craik said:

“Walking in, you almost remember it being bigger.

“We’d never been to a residential studio back then, we just thought we’d won the lottery.

“We were like, ‘This will be the first and last album we ever made, so just enjoy the ride.”

“To go back there and do your fifth album was this kind of full-circle moment.”

New Single Rejects Shiny Pop Concepts for Raw Sonic Chaos

The upcoming arena show will serve as the live testing ground for their brand new material, which strips away the futuristic, polished production of their previous chart-topping era.

Guitarist Joe Langridge-Brown said:

“A lot of the way we write is very reactionary to what we’ve just done.

“We sat down and we said we wanted to write something a bit more raw and organic and a bit chaotic.

“Dead Club City was very concept-led, futuristic, shiny and much stricter-sounding.

“This was the complete opposite.”

New single, ‘Evolution’ serves as a visceral statement of intent, built directly around the mechanics of the band’s live energy.

The track opens with a sparse, driving guitar riff and Conor Mason’s urgent vocal delivery: “Come, bury me in motion / A feral kind of war / In trying to be human / That’s not my fault / That’s evolution / That’s getting off the floor”.

The track also features an explicit nod to formative Southend venue Chinnerys, transforming local memory with the lyrics: “There’s something in me stirring / A memory away / Saw it down Chinnerys / In Halcyon days.”

Box Office Deadlines Confirmed for Manchester Arena Show

As the band prepares to step onto the Co-op Live stage, vocalist Conor Mason insists their creative focus remains unchanged by global success.

He said:

“We’ve always been childlike with the creation of it. It’s just about how it makes us feel.

“If it’s exciting or adventurous or emotional.

“You can’t lose that.

“You can’t make songs just to sell shit.

“A lot of people get to that stage.

“We’ve always just been about how it makes us feel.”

The ticket sales rollout for the Manchester show will activate on a staggered morning schedule.

Co-op Member Presale windows open on 3 June 2026 at 10:00 am, with the General Sale launching on 5 June 2026 at 10:00 am.
