Stretched has officially opened the doors to its first UK studio outside of Scotland, bringing its pioneering assisted stretching experience to Manchester city centre.
Launched on 15 November with an exclusive open day for the local wellness community, the new studio marks an exciting chapter for the brand as it expands beyond its Glasgow and Edinburgh homes.

At the heart of the Stretched approach is a full-body mobility assessment, powered by advanced motion-analysis technology. Each client then receives a one-to-one assisted stretch delivered by a highly trained Stretch Therapist — offering a deeper, more controlled stretch than can be achieved alone.
Already a standout success north of the border, Stretched was founded on a simple belief: everyone deserves to move better and feel better. The team’s expertise lies in identifying areas of tightness or restriction and tailoring each dynamic stretch session to improve flexibility, ease tension and support healthier movement patterns. All therapists are trained in-house through the Stretched Academy.
The concept was created by experienced physiotherapist Craig McHugh, who drew inspiration from the rising popularity of assisted stretching studios in the US and Japan. With more than a decade of experience working with everyone from NHS patients to elite athletes, Craig recognised the huge potential of mobility-focused care in the UK.

Founder and Clinical Director Craig McHugh (BSc Hons Physiotherapy) said:
“Manchester is a vibrant, forward-thinking city with a strong focus on health, fitness, and wellbeing. We saw a real demand for mobility-focused services here, with a community of people who can benefit from assisted stretching. Good mobility is the foundation of healthy movement, and we are excited to bring the power of assisted stretching to Manchester.”
Assisted stretching is suitable for all ages and abilities, offering benefits such as improved range of motion, better posture, injury prevention, reduced pain and enhanced sports performance — making it a valuable addition to any wellness routine.
Stretched Manchester is open seven days a week, operating 10am–8pm Monday to Friday and 10am–6pm at weekends.
Sessions start from £40 for a 25-minute express stretch, with the option of a full-body 50-minute session including a mobility scan for £70. Group bookings are also available.
Bookings for the Manchester studio are now live.
