An environmental consultancy is calling on the regionโs most dedicated conservation champions to be part of an exclusive VIP event marking a major new international nature partnership.ย
B Corp four-day week firm, Tyler Grange, is inviting nominations for a pair of guests to attend a special launch evening on Tuesday 5 May, in Manchester city centre.
The event celebrates its new ecological partnership with Chester Zoo and Malagasy biodiversity organisation, Madagasikara Voakajy (MV).
This collaboration and donation will fund two community plant nurseries in Madagascarโs Mangabe Reserve, supporting forest restoration, sustainable agriculture, and local livelihoods.
Global Impact from Regional Roots
The initiative is expected to restore 20 hectares of land and support more than 6,800 people who rely on the forest.
It will also help protect Madagascarโs unique wildlife, with around 90% of species found nowhere else on Earth. Jon Berry, co-founder and managing director of Tyler Grange, said:
โManchester has a proud but often overlooked history of environmental activism.
โWe want to recognise the people carrying that spirit forward, those making a difference for nature in their communities, and invite them to be part of this exciting moment.
โOur partnership with Chester Zoo and Madagasikara Voakajy supports real, on-the-ground conservation.
โThis event is about sharing that story and celebrating people here, in Manchester and across the region, who care as deeply about the natural world as we do.โ
Protecting Critically Endangered Landscapes

Charles Wheeler, Madagascar project manager at Chester Zoo, noted that the partnership will deliver measurable impact for biodiversity, communities, and climate.
By protecting endangered species and habitats in Madagascar, the team is actively contributing to a broader push to protect global biodiversity.
The situation in the Mangabe landscape is increasingly urgent.
Francia Laurรฉa Samoelah, communication officer for Madagasikara Voakajy, said:
โThe Mangabe landscape is classified as Critically Endangered. Between 2015 and 2023, more than 6,100 hectares of forest were lost, over 22% of its total area.
โAt current rates, key ecological functions could vanish within three years, and the forest may disappear entirely within a decade.
โWe must come together to act now to protect its future, and that of the thousands of people who depend upon it.โ
Attend the VIP Launch and Visit Chester Zoo

The invite-only event will take place at HOME Manchester from 6pm until 9pm on Tuesday 5 May.
It will feature speakers from both partner organisations, including Charles Wheeler and Julie Hanta Razafimanahaka,

A pair of launch tickets and a Chester Zoo day ticket for a family of four is available to win.
To enter, nominees must submit a short statement (up to 100 words) explaining why they, or someone they know, deserve to attend.
