Kimpton Clocktower Manchester hosts indulgent Easter afternoon tea and family activities

Manchester’s Kimpton Clocktower is bringing a mix of indulgence and family-friendly fun to the city this Easter weekend, with a limited-edition afternoon tea, creative workshops and film screenings taking place across the long weekend.

Running from Thursday 2 April to Easter Saturday, the hotel’s Easter Afternoon Tea will be served in the stunning Winter Garden, offering a seasonal twist on Refuge’s popular dining experience.

Available between 12pm and 3.30pm, the menu combines savoury bites with rich chocolate desserts, making it a perfect excuse to slow down over the bank holiday.

On the savoury side, guests can enjoy dishes including a white crab crumpet with apple and dill and a ham hock sausage roll with piccalilli. The sweet selection leans fully into Easter, with highlights such as a Gâteau Opera, Baileys chocolate pot, and Yorkshire rhubarb and custard cheesecake.

To round things off, there’s also the option to upgrade the experience with a Chocolate Forest Martini, adding an extra indulgent finish.

The Easter Afternoon Tea is priced at £49 per person, offering a standout seasonal treat in one of Manchester’s most impressive settings.

Alongside the food offering, Kimpton Clocktower will also host a series of activities across the weekend. On Good Friday and Easter Saturday, guests can take part in a free ticketed Easter bonnet workshop, perfect for families and little ones looking to get creative.

The hotel’s cinema room will also be screening Easter-themed favourites including Peter Rabbit, Bambi and The Lion King, giving guests a chance to relax and enjoy a film during their stay.

Throughout the school holidays, younger visitors can also get involved in a hands-on activity by planting their own daffodils in the hotel’s entrance foyer.

With a mix of indulgent dining and family-friendly experiences, Kimpton Clocktower looks set to be a go-to spot in Manchester this Easter.

Rhea Leach, Head of Marketing at Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, said:

“This year’s Easter activations have been designed to spark seasonal joy for our hotel guests and visitors, something that ties in fittingly with the hotel’s wider community engagement approach. We wanted to create moments that children and adults of all ages can enjoy, and Easter is the perfect time to bring that to life in a fun and engaging way.”
