Lucky Gyros To Open First Permanent Site At Manchester Arndale Food Court

  • July 21, 2026
  • By Editor - Elliot Thompson

A popular Manchester street food brand is set to make the move from festivals to the city centre, with Lucky Gyros opening its first permanent location at Manchester Arndale this August.

The independent food spot, which has built a following serving up Greek-inspired street food at major events including Parklife and Sounds of the City, will launch at Manchester Arndale’s Food Court in summer 2026.

The opening marks an exciting new chapter for the Manchester-born brand, bringing its vibrant menu of fresh flavours and Greek street food classics to shoppers, workers and visitors in the heart of the city.

Manchester Street Food Favourite Opens First Permanent Venue

Lucky Gyros has become known across Manchester’s festival scene for its bold flavours, convenient street food offering and signature gyros.

After years of serving customers at some of the city’s biggest events, the independent brand is now opening its first brick-and-mortar restaurant, adding a new independent option to Manchester Arndale’s Food Court.

The new venue aims to offer something for everyone, whether customers are looking for a quick lunch during a busy working day, a casual meal while shopping or a tasty takeaway option in the city centre.

Founded by local hospitality professional Michael Jebelli, Lucky Gyros is focused on bringing quality ingredients, generous portions and affordable dining together.

The menu will centre around the brand’s famous gyros, featuring soft corn pittas packed with a choice of marinated meats alongside vegetarian and vegan alternatives.

Each gyros is served with fresh lettuce, tomato, red onion and tzatziki, before being finished with a topping of fries for a classic Greek street food experience.

Alongside its signature dishes, customers can expect a selection of loaded gyros-inspired platters, fresh salad boxes and hearty rice bowls.

The menu will also include a range of sides, including seasoned skin-on fries, Greek fries topped with tzatziki, feta and pomegranate seeds, as well as a classic hummus and pitta combination.

Lucky Gyros Brings Independent Flavours To Manchester Arndale

Speaking about the opening, Lucky Gyros founder Michael Jebelli said:

“We’re so excited to be opening our very first Lucky Gyros site at Manchester Arndale Food Court.

“We’re really proud to be flying the flag for independents, delivering quality, tasty food at a comfortable price point.

“This is just the beginning for Lucky Gyros, and we can’t wait to see the brand continue to grow.”

David Allinson, Centre Director at Manchester Arndale, added:

“Lucky Gyros is a fantastic addition to Manchester Arndale’s food court.

“With demand for a variety of flavours continuing to grow, it is important that our food court offers visitors a mix of cuisines.

“Lucky Gyros brings something different to our line-up and we are sure it will be a hit with visitors.”

The opening will add another independent food option to Manchester Arndale’s growing dining offer, giving visitors the chance to try Greek street food in the heart of the city.

Lucky Gyros will open at Manchester Arndale Food Court in August 2026.
