Manchester residents can enjoy a free taste of Italy this weekend as San Carlo brings complimentary gelato to King Street to celebrate National Ice Cream Day.
The city centre restaurant will be handing out free servings of its authentic Italian gelato on Sunday, 19 July, giving visitors the chance to enjoy a sweet treat while celebrating the annual ice cream occasion. National Ice Cream Day takes place on the third Sunday of July, with 2026’s celebration falling on 19 July.
Visitors can head to outside San Carlo Manchester between 1 pm and 3 pm to pick up a complimentary gelato, with the offer available until stocks run out.
Located on King Street, San Carlo Manchester is known for its Italian-inspired menu, with the restaurant serving a range of classic dishes alongside its handmade gelato selection.
The restaurant’s gelato is made using traditional methods and Italian ingredients, with flavours including favourites such as vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, pistachio and stracciatella.
World Cup Ice Cream Fever
The free gelato giveaway will also be on the same day as the 2026 World Cup final, giving football fans another reason to head into Manchester city centre for the celebrations.
