Milestone Celebration for Blue Kitchen Manchester with Special Bank Holiday Performance

Since opening its doors in 2021, The Blues Kitchen has established itself as one of Manchester’s staple nightlife destinations, where long dinners turn into even longer nights, hearty soul food meets flavour-first cocktails, and the soulful soundtrack rarely stops.

May marks more than a milestone, but half a decade of nights worth staying out for, celebrating the artists who commanded the stage, the DJs who brought the energy and the guests who kept the floor moving.

In that time, the venue has welcomed more than 600 artists to its stage across 1,250+ events, delivering 6,000+ hours of live music, 2,250+ hours of DJ sets and over 80,000 songs performed live.

Beyond the stage, the hospitality figures are equally impressive, with over 700,000 wings and half a million burgers devoured, while 200,000 Margaritas have been polished off under one roof.

A Legacy of Soulful Performance

The Blues Kitchen marks five years of its late-night atmosphere, Southern American charm and standout live performances with a Bank Holiday weekend celebration.

The venue has spent the last five years ensuring that the spirit of authentic music remains at the heart of Manchester’s hospitality scene, with Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black” always somewhere in the mix.

Five years down and only just warming up, the venue continues to bring a unique energy to the city.

The upcoming festivities serve as a tribute to the diverse range of talent that has graced the stage and the community of music lovers who have supported the venue since its inception in 2021.

Gilles Peterson Headlines Anniversary Event

The celebration will be headlined by Gilles Peterson, a DJ, broadcaster and label owner who has spent more than 40 years shaping contemporary music culture.

Peterson needs little introduction, yet guests can expect genre-spanning sounds across jazz, funk, soul and beyond, setting the tone for an unmissable night.

Tickets for the event are currently available here as the venue prepares for its biggest celebration to date.

The performance by Peterson reflects the high calibre of artistry that the venue has become known for over the last half-decade, promising a night that captures the essence of what has made the location a nightlife staple in Manchester.
